Career Start
Christina started performing around Pittsburgh in local talent shows.
Christina Aguilera first appeared on Star Search at the age of 8.
She then went appeared on several different television and radio
shows and began singing the national anthem at Pittsburgh Steelers,
Penguins, and Pirates games at the age of 10. She was later approached
with the oppurtunity to sing on the "Mulan" soundtrack.
Aguilera's full-length recording debut, the self-titled Christina
Aguilera,sent sales of the CD soaring straight to No. 1, with more
than 250,000 copies sold in its first week of release.
